Personally I just fill it to the brim and let the pressure cap spit out the excess...

inside the tank should be a cream colured peice of plastic. this is the level indicator.
i personally would never fill it to the top . it has to expand somewere and if it cant expand in the header tank who knows what it will burst ?

Yea thats the problem ive got. On the right hand side of the rad as your looking under the bonnet the is a cooling pipe which i think comes from the compresser and dissapears into the rh wing. The bracket has broken and the clip and pipe hit the rad and punctured it. Any ideas where i can get a modified brackwt as the clip is only plastic?
Also how hard is it to replace the rad?

Thanks for that. I have a problem where the cooling pipe from the air con compressor that runs from the left hand to the right hand wing. The backet just below the rad on the rh side has broken and the plastic bit of the clip that holds the pipe to the bracket has broke and gone into the radiator core... Any ideas if there is a modification as the clip is only plastic and i dont want to spend 100 quid on a new rad and bracket only for it to happen again in 2 weeks time!!!

The cap is designed to relieve excess pressure

Dead easy on mine - just take the water pipes off, release the rad from the 2 clips at the top then lift out
