HDI Remap (again)!!!

Hi,

I'm sure this question has been asked many times. I have an HDI 90 which is a bit of a gutless wonder on the road. I am tempted by either putting in an after market ecu chip boost, or having the ecu remaped by angel tuning. This should give me around 25 extra horses under the bonnet, and an increase in torque.

Heres my question, is it good enough just to do this or should I be looking at changing the air induction filter for a tuned one?

Also has anyone had any of this work done. Does it make a significant improvement to the car?

Cheers
DW

ECU re-map

Always have a re-map, never a add on module. The re-map will work as OE would, just better giving around 35BHP and 68nm more than standard. The module just chucks more fuel down the engine, very primitive and only of limited effect. I wouldn't bother with a performance stand alone air filter, it will give only a very small increase in power 1-2% for loads more noise. If you want to add a perfomance filter just use a replacement panel type, at least that way you won't increase noise and the car wont look modified.

As was said get a Remap done http://www.angeltuning.co.uk do them.

As for an Air Filter the BMC CDA is the best to get, this will give at least 6% more power and torque but they are expensive £130 ish.
