sump plug help

i have a 406 2002 2lt 110bhp diesel,the plug has a hex inside but its been shreaded and cant get it out now,i want to know if the hex nut is part of sump or sump plug,any advise please.

You wouid be best to have the sump removed,
perhaps it wouid involve drilling out the old sump plug,


ihad simalar problem with a car ihad a few years back, iended up just leaving the sumpplug and buying one of these (simalar item)

thanks but i dont wana go down that root m8,i think that nut is part of sump plug so gana try that first.

ihope it comes out,

thinking back,too the 406 ihad inever used a key, ijust used a spanner,so ithink you will get that out no problem,

You just need a 21mm socket or a 21mm spanner.

Old school sizes are 13/16th AF.
