Right I got a Bosch pump on eBay some lad just rang bout it his been got a pump from scrappy got told it was on a 1998 406 but his mehcanic said it doesn't fit his is a n reg did they change the Bosch pump at any stage ?? Any help would be great 1 other things he said his original pump has got a hair line crack down the side of it wat causes that ???

Ask him for the part no:s off his
and compare them to the one that your selling,

ithought all the pumps wouid bolt on, just acase of the pipes being differnt,
or maybe someones sold him a hdi one,

Mark your pump up mate,if you sell it on ebay,
abit of paint or put a marker on it so you know its the one youve sent if someone sends it back with any lame excuses,

I did compare numbers the long stamped number was diffrent by 2 numbers but I was on the understanding 1.9 dt engine all had the same Bosch pump but the way it's looking they have changed it or his mehcanic ent got a clue

yeh daz there is 2 types his sounds like its the same as a 306 pump

could be i dunno ent seen it and he dont no a fat lot so only going from what his saying and lives in london so cant even look at the car
