I've been having trouble with my car and recently its been stalling infrequently after overtaking / acceleration, in the last couple of days it is now stalling and random points, i dont know if this is an electrical problem or a fuel pump problem but i need to resolve this as soon as possible
when i switch the engine off the car runs on for a couple of seconds too, i also have fault codes P0230 P0380 and P0510
I dont know if this is all one problem or a bunch of problems, can anyone help?
Thanks
Matt.

I've been testing a few things, the engine is in limp home mode due to the codes, but when the revs get near the 3k limit the engine now stalls, when i attempt to restart sometimes i get the lift pump energizing some times i dont, it took about 5 turns of the key to get the pump to prime, I've tried this a few times now with the same results.

Think i found the problem, switched my BSI over after i found this in the blue socket on the BSI, took it for a test drive, no fault codes, no engine management light, no stalling, no running on after i switch the engine off, car pulls an awful lot better now too, tried to replicate the problems i was having and I couldnt manage it
Guess i'm lucky i had all the stuff needed to switch it over, also my remote central locking works again too
hopefully that will be the end to those weird problems

Yukk
I have found. similar corrosion in other multiplugs on 406. Namely the ines under the carpet directly below when your accelerator foot heel rests. Can cause all sorrs of weird and (not) wonderful effecrs.
I found a good scrub with electrical contact cleaner and an old toothbrush shifed it well. Then sprayed ACF50 into the connector before dnapping back together. Sorted.
Good that you had spare parts. Hope the above helps if others don't.

I was surprised by how much it affected the car, I'll remove the casing, give it a clean up and see what its like back on the car.
If i hadnt had the spare and been experimenting i would have never have thought to look at the BSI, if it was like yours peter, under the carpet i'd have never have found it!

iwouid be checking why it got wet in the first place,
Preventitive Maintance time, check the scuttle drains,
this is one thing that kills renaults off, not saying peugeots suffer with it but its certainly worth looking into.
