Hi folks,i was thinking of decat my car...to remove the catalysator down.
my pug is D8 406 1997 2.o turbo.
I dont know if the lambda probe would be a problem, are there 2 sensors?
1 in front and second after cat?
Would just put a tube instead of catalysator.

thanx for help folks :P

Yes,its a petrol,i have done some research on the net aswell,i think there is only 1 lambda probe, and infront of the cat,so i think there wount be
any problems, just cut the cat down and regular pipe instead

the engine management light might come on,
people use lambda sleeves (blanks) too get round that,

whats wrong with original cat?
if its fubard just smash the insides out, its better than adding pipe and all looks standard

sleevs are not bad idea, heard some people put it,but there are also people who have the same system as me,just put cat down, and no problems.

nothing wrong with cat,i just want to move it,to get a better fuel economy.

just letting the empty cat,the body and smashing the other elements of cat wouldnt be ok cuz the air flow, straight pipe just launches the air out, empty cat, turns it around.
thanx for helping lozz, glad you stayed here :cheesy:
