is this a leak?

Post by jonesblakey »

i have noticed some water dripping from the car today......the problem is its coming from underneath the front passenger seat and as far as i know there is no pipes running under there....i have noticed the water is clean as a whistle...no dirt or anything in it and the cooling system has not lost any water so......could it be some rain water has gotten trapped up there and the car was at an angle so the water started dripping.

That's about where the evaporator condensate drain is - was the aircon running / recently stopped?

Looks like A/C condensate to me. It's supposed to drip over the middle exhaust silencer in an effort to 'dry it' but it doesn't so you get a little clear puddle. Perfectly normal and a lot more evident when the humidity is high after rain etc...
