I need to replace the BE4 gearbox in my friends 406. I have access to a ML5 gearbox and driveshafts.
Before finding out the hard way, will the ML5 fit in it's place? Has anyone tried it?
Experience is appreciated.

IIRC you'll need gear selector, clutch hydraulics, flywheel and clutch as well as the driveshafts that you've already mentioned.
