Hi there,
Someone told me that they had to change the battery in their picasso, since then the engine is running much better (quieter, smoother, quicker etc) also the electric windows have re-learnt their best limits etc.

Can this be true? does this also apply to the 406? would disconnecting then reconnecting the battery force the gadgets and gizmos to 're-learn'?

Any help appreciated.

windows will work better because there is more juice in the battery to power them. Especially when the engine is not on.

Disconnecting the battery for about 20minutes will soft reset the ecu back to the factory parimeters

When I got my 406 the windows travelled the full extent whenever I pressed the control.

After disconnecting the battery they reset, and now work according to pressure (ie. tap for short movement, hold for full extent).

I got away with re-entering the radio code. Can't say if this is the norm.
