What price range should I be looking at for a new clutch fitted to my 2001 pug 406, 2.0L hdi 90bhp rapier model...
Been given so many different quotes for £200 to £640 :-@ bit confused in the excessive difference..

I've helped a few forum members with replacement clutches.

Clutch is usually about £300 full price including driveshaft oil seals and gearbox oil, plus DMF when required.

I have done few at cost.

If you can wait until the wife's starts slipping enough that I get fed up of the whinging and do the job, I'll tell you

£600 is about what you'd expect an independent garage (half the price of a dealer) to charge for an ES9J4 V6 clutch change because it's a bitch of a job (12 hours book time iirc). I can't imagine the hdi90 clutch taking anywhere near as long to do. If I were to throw an educated guess at it, I reckon it'd only take 3 hours to do with a lift, if that

Took about 4 hours to do my 110's with the new DMF. Doesn't look that difficult....when the car's in the air and you have all the correct tools to undo seized bolts.
