Hi All

3-4 weeks ago I had 4 brand new tyres fitted tracking done and a drivers side wheel bearing replaced this eradicated the previous grumbly wheel bearing noise but I now have a humming but can find no play or vibration in the steering could this be the new bearing.

It could just be your new tyres. Does the sound change on different road surfaces?

Yeah sort of more noticebale on smoother roads and really annoying rough roads it tends to disappear, theyre budget/medicore tyres

I've just put my Bridgestone Blizzaks on for winter - it really does sound like I have all 4 wheel bearings close to death  I certainly wouldn't recommend these to anyone that has to drive without the stereo turned up loud :frown:

Tyres fitted the right way around?

If they're directional they should say so, probably with an arrow just in case you're illiterate :P Unless they're Michelins which just have an inside and an outside :?
