Good evening,

firstly i apologize for asking a question on my first post, secondly i have trawled thro the whole site and there seems to be lots of issues the same as mine but none of the suggestions seem to work, unless i am missing something.

The car is a 52 reg 406 110 hdi 2.0, it has no power whatsoever untill 3000rpm, from what i have read is just more fuel being injected, i tried the maf of the wifes 307 110 hdi makes no difference i have put a new boost solenoid on the car no difference checked all vacumm pipes all see to be ok, unplugged the egr solenoid so it is permantly closed, scanned it with a snap-on solus and nothing comes up, so i am at a bit off a loss, the intake hose from the i/c to the doser gets swollen when you rev it in neutral, it is just as flat as a witches t*t,

i hope someone can point me in the right direction because i need this sorting asap

thanks in advance

jay

Another one could be the throttle position sensor, mine had these exact symptoms. It should pull well from 1700 rpm, as a guide.

tps, is this what the throttle cable is attached to, the wifes 307 is one the pedal the 406 one is behind the battery will a 306 90bhp hdi one be the same because i may have one stashed in the garage somewhere?

Have you checked the Acelerator for Slack?

The Xsara 110 Hdi i had was a Slug, and it turned out to be just too much slack in the cable,
ijust took the peg out pulled the outer cable to remove any slack and put the peg back in, 10secound job,

the hdi can be a slug if the Fuel filter needs a change well worth changing if theres no evidence of recent a service,

No idea if it's the same as a 306, try taking it off and checking. It's easy to find, it's on the end of the throttle cable, behind the air filter. I just took mine off and cleaned it, soaking it's insides with WD40. It's been fine since and cost no money. :cheesy:

the tps is the same as the 90 also have a look and ask about on the 306 forums too as the engines are the same just the intercooler has been added to the 110

regrease with dielectric grease if you do clean it other wise it will give bad reading
