Been looking at Automatic 406s on ebay,

last night there was a lovely clean estate on, Inearly clicked the Buy it now button, (luckily ihad another read first)
in Small print, This car dosent change in to 2nd, This is a common 406 problem easy fix ,

Had another look tonight and theres another one on Same problem,
was thinking of having abid if it wasnt too much of Repair bill,

Anyone else had one that wouidnt change up into 2nd, was it an easy fix or did it end up as a breaker,

iwill look for another manual one, less hastle

That's a shame I've no idea if HDis have the Pug 'box or the ZF one, I'd think the ZF was slightly less likely to screw up.

Auto 'boxes are getting more and more complicated, with more and more speeds too, but nobody every seems to have made on that's 100% reliabubble

Someone I know has a 2003 2.0 HDi 110 with an Autobox, its VIN is showing the following on ServiceBox:

406 (RESTYLING) 4 DOOR SALOON 2.0 HDi 110 (DW10ATED) Auto gearbox AL4

He's having issues with it at the mo, keeps going into limp mode with EML on and torque limiting the box. Going to stick it on PP2000 when I next see him and see what's up
