Exhaust

I have a 406 HDI 2003 estate and the flexi pipe on the exhaust is blowing, unfortunaley this is part of the Cat section.

I have been told that there is a repair part available which is just the flexi pipe but you have to cut the old one off and weld the new flexi section onto your old cat section.

Does anyone know if there is a repair section for the flexi pipe that clamps to the Cat section without welding?

Not sure tbh but the fact that it's a flexi section suggests to me that welding is the only way to ensure the movement doesn't destroy any fixing kit.
I'm pretty sure a fubared bottom engine mount is the usual root cause of flexi failure so I'd have a good look at that while removing the exhaust.
