Found this posted by Roy on the coupe forum, peoplemay find it interesting - get more power from the 406 V6

ive been speaking to DP Engineering and they have given me a comprehensive list of things that are needed for the coupe to turbo it !

this is for the v6, the most expensive part being "the claw" the complex manifold

you would need to source an aftermarket ecu and get someone to make custom intercooler piping and a down pipe.

costs would be less if you could source a 2nd hand turbo, or import from the usa

Garrett GT3071R ball bearing turbocharger turbine a/r .64 £1,026
Garrett waste gate actuator T2 / T25 0,3 - 0,7 bar £84.10
DP Garrett GT-series adjustable actuator mounting £26.42
Stainless V6 24v turbo exhaust manifold 'the Claw' £1,332
Stainless 3" flex pipe £45.87
Stainless braided oil feed line £60.53
T-piece; pressure switch dual outlet (oil pressure switch and feedline connected on switch position) £12.08
GT25-28 / TD04 Oil drain flange + gasket £14.10
Hose connection for oil drain flange £2.49
Oil and heat resistant hose 100 cm £16.81
Forge dual piston dump valve £107.60

TOTAL
£2,730.01 Inc Vat & Shipping

That's a neat kit, no mention though of controlling it all, or forged pistons.

The compression ratio might be high as standard, which would prevent you running a high-ish boost.

To do it 'properly' you would have to do the full monty - fuelling, ECU, strong internals, bigger water rad etc etc so would make it very expensive and you'd be better with an EVO or something.

Maybe this kit is a light pressure system and it can run on the standard ECU ?

The other problem IMO would be shifting the car on in later years

the wastegate actuator mentioned says 0.3-0.7 bar, so im guessing its lowish boost, giving 362 bhp. someone on the coup forum pointed out that boost doesnt need to be as high as it does on a 4 cylinder engine.

only problem is that the car remains front wheel drive

That does look meaty, but it's a lotta lotta wonga, not to mention f4nnying around. I think i'd just stick nitrous on it instead, and spend the change on a second coop as a daily driver whilst the nitrous snorting beast gets relegated to trackday/sunday B road weapon.

Holy mother of christ! That looks some serious sh*t right there!

Thinking of a 3.0 V6 engine conversion for mine next year, if I can get a decent engine at a decent price. Although my 2.0l 16v petrol is nice (having a shitty 1.4 rover before) and im gonna be putitng on some goodies for more pwer this year, I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!!!!!

You'll also be wanting the upgraded brakes etc if you retro-fit a V6. I imagine there'd also be a gearbox and exhaust system to buy. Dunno why you'd bother though, just get a 406 with one already in it...
