406 HDI GLOW PLUG RELAY

Hi all
This is an update to my 406 hdi fuel filter housing post.
I have checked the car electrics today and components with a multimeter, solenoids, pressure reg etc. I took all the readings from autodata and it seems that the only time I was getting the full voltage where I should was when the glow plug relay was disconnected?? Could this be the source of my problems?? I seem to be getting fuel to where I should, flow and return to tank and the fuel is getting to the fuel pressure rail, pressure regulator (both of them) are reading correct.
Is there anything I am overlooking to get her to start? Is there anyway to tell if the bsi is cooked??
Thanks,
Neil...

As your hdi got the brown relay:s at side of the ecu,
if so have you checked it?
have you tried giving it some Sniff?
idont think the Hdi is reliant on Glow plugs, so iwouidnt condemn the glow plug relay,
Hard to guess on with no fault code,

so with all the electric going to the right places bar the glow plugs(disconnected) it still wont start?
give it a prime and then try to start it

I have not put it back together yet since disconnecting the big glow plug relay but before I disconnected it she still wouldn't start, even with the easy start?

It seems that when I tested the multiplug off the pressure regulator it's holding a 1.5v charge but auto data says it should be zero with ignition off?

Not checked that yet lozz.
Is there anyway to check the high pressure pump?

not with out specialist equipment
have you checked the condition of the earths and cables
this could be an electricity leak

Was in the process of that too tonight before we ran out of light. Not 100% sure what and where to check for electricity leak? I have cleaned a couple of earths up and all the connectors to the bsi and under the drivers footwell seem good and dry?

Ithink the None fire on the Sniff test, wouid rule out
the Hp pump, if a sensor /solenoid was down on on the pump side , id of thought it wouid of still fired on the sniff even if for a few secounds,
imight be miles out there tho,

It depends what you mean by a few seconds? It did fire to an extent but I thought that would just be the easy start igniting?
Certainly didn't seem to run

I only sprayed it for about 3 seconds as I didn't want to do anymore damage

Merry Christmas Everyone!
I opened all my prezzies and unfortunately Santa never brought me a working pug
I tried it again with the glow plug relay disconnected but made no difference, well except for throwing another code up.
I charged the battery and gave it a blast with the sniff...ran for about 3 seconds until it burnt it off. Fuel filter lid still don't seem to be getting pressure? Is it easy to get the hp pump off and can you do it without knocking the timing out?
All the best guys....
