Anyone got an idea on this: (pug:306 1.6 TU)
thought id ask before istart thinking about weighing the car in, :(

Yesterday sorry imean Monday as its now 1:20am ish   inoticed the oil is getting creamy, oil cap, :(
no loss of power/overheating or any miss fire, water is still at the Max,

car as been ok till recently, not used it much but now with the hospital runs, its getting its fair use,
Also it lives in the garage,(centraly heated) so its not been sat out in the frost,

The other week ichecked the oil level and it was down, so itopped it up,but the oil ihad fully /synth as been left outside all winter
cap on sealed, Does oil freeze /collect moisture? :?
carnt see how mind but is it possible,? (note to self stop buying stuff and leaving it outside  )

Im just hoping H/g Aint on its way out, not got the time to fix it if so, :(

Could be moisture in the oil but keep an eye on things. Some cars do get creamy looking oil around the head/filler but it doesn't always mean there's a problem.

A sniffer test is the only real clue.

Creamy stuff in the oil cap is condensation.

I serviced a 1.6 Focus yesterday with loads of creamy stuff in the oil filler cap....drained the oil ....no water in it at all.

No water loss, overheating etc.

If the dipstick gets creamy stuff all the way up then that might indicate head gasket problems, but you would have water loss as well.

Wot they said :arrowu: It's probably just condensation this time of year but keep an eye on the coolant just in case.

i would say is condensation as the tu's are prone for it, if it was a head gasket there would be a miss fire and all the other symptoms of hg
