Tried removing the top on my fuel filter housing [110 hdi],couldn't budge it at all,any tips on getting it off so i can change my fuel filter? Theres nowhere to put a spanner on it to aid removal so i presume you should be able to twist it off?

Take the housing off completely and put it gently in a vice ...don't tighten jaws....get a large set of water pump pliers and twist it off using those.....unscrew it .

Otherwise use an oil filter chain or belt wrench.

Watch the pipes....

Sounds like the Mahle if there isn't a nut on top ....the Bosch has a nut.
