Post by Bigcol »

well, i think it has any way lol... was driving home and all of a sudden could only select 3rd and 4th gear. Gear stick was wondering around all over the place. Car is a 99v reg if it helps. Ive only just bought it as a stop gap as my 405 diesel was written off by a bafoon! lol any advice would be greatfully recieved.

Had to change the set on my daughters 1.6 petrol 307 - one of the cables had gone. They're stupidly expensive from Peugeot, around £200 the pair.

I bought a complete set, (cables + gear lever assembly), from an eBay scrappy for £50 delivered, got em next day too.

About 3 hours - would have been 1 hour in decent weather.

(This was a 307) took off the airbox, battery and a few other bits, worst part was re-inserting the hooge grommet the gear cable pass through in front of the gearlever.
