Can anyone tell me where to find the coolant drain plug on the crankcase of my 406 SV 1999?

Mine's a manual with a 2 1/4 inch straight-through exhaust. What a gorgeous sound! The over-run at 5500rpm is so Ferrari!

It has 16 inch rims with Michelin Pilot Precedas Great tyre. No trouble from the car in seven years apart from a blown odometer bulb (can only see it at night) in 70,000 miles. Not a bad record, what?

I also added thin chrome strips to the grille to emulate the later model coupe. Quite nice, I think.

have a look at this:

i think you'll find the drain plug is either 5 or 6 though im not certain
if your changing the coolant the easiest ways is remove the bottom hose from the radiator as you'll get more out this way

Thanks for your sterling effort, however, you sent an exploded diagram of a four-cylinder and I have the V6. Can you help?
