Anyone recommend a decent exhaust for my 2.0 petrol?

Should I just replace the back box for a nice sound/bass rumble and a nice wide tailpipe

or a full system?

Which exhausts do people recommend and are there any with nice looking phat tail pipes?

Regards,

Pris. :cheesy:

i know its odd, but i found a late citroen saxo scorpion backbox fits the 2.0l exhaust with only a slight modification to the hangers, i used cable ties, but these arent cheap and scorpion do sell one for the 406 now, have a look on ebay, it does give a great noise though, especially at 6,000 rpm!

Been looking for a scorpian exhaust but cant find any on the website, or on eBay!

They definately do one now for the 406? I may have to call them and get a part number.

Nice exhaust, thanks. Why is the tip at an angle?

I wonder what it sounds like?

if you have a look at the rear box on your car now you'll see why the tip is like that
when i had the saxo scorpion box on my car, its bloody loud, in a good way though, but i got annoyed with it in the end and took it

Gotta go custom for an exhaust on the 6 I got a cat-back system fitted then decided to de-cat it (cat died and de-catting seemed cheaper than replacing it lol)

arent those figures for the v6 taken at the flywheel though?

No idea... but that can't be right, if my car was 150hp at the fly it would be something like 125hp at the wheels and trust me when I say the darn thing flies... even with a faulty????? bit thats unidentified ! lol

125hp pulling a ton and a quarter of lead can't be right...

i would say thats about right, the gti6 has about 130bhp at the wheels and 'only' does 140mph, my car would have arround 100 bhp at the wheels and i have had that to an indicated 130mph

196 at the wheels was converted to about 220+ at the fly a lot of power is lost through the 4 wheel drive system but is still fast as fekkk :cheesy:

The V6 406 may have similar power but for some reason the scooby seems to be able to get the power down better 8)
