Disabling EGR from map file?

I know somewhere in the forum there were some topics about remaping and stuff and i read somewhere posted by some good guy here on the forum that could remove the ERG from the map for free no problem, i would like to try my map and engine with the EGR Disabled.

Is there someone that could do it for me or teach me where to look at on winOLS so i could do it myself ? ( it's a test version by the way )

I'm afraid there has been a mix-up.

I don't think you can disable the EGR with a map, as it is a mechanical thing in the engine bay, it would need to be blanked off and removed completely before re-map.

The FAP can be turned off with a diagnostic machine even if still fitted, maybe this is the mix-up?

What i meant is disabling the EGR from the ECU file, i can download my ECU file and upload it again, i was woundering if someone with good knowledge could disable it or in expert words allways in SHUT state. My ECU was remaped but at the time the guy you did it said it wasn't necessary to disable it, but i also have feedback from people that also does remaping and they always suggest to disable the EGR eletronicly.

Bah, too late, i have paid 20EUR on the egrswitch site to disable the egr on my file since nobody here had said to me anything.

sorry I dont frequently come here anymore as I dont own a 406. I am still learning about ECU tuning but don't mind helping others out with simple things like EGR disable...

and you can learn to make minor changes like that very easily yourself...

its just the actual remapping for power thats a total pig
