Some of you may know that on my last oil change the threads stripped out so got one of these.

Works a treat but i do lose the od drip of oil so my question is (if it doesn't strip the threads again) can i put something on the plug like ptfe tape to help seal it?

I have 5 of these bolts left with washers so as long as it don't strip again I'll use a fresh one.
Just hope I'm not ordering a M17 set later on today.

TBH any sort of silicone sealer will do the job, squirt it near to the end threads all round where the washer should fit.

Cheers Jasper i decided to try it while it's still cool outside and the plug came out nice with no stripped out threads on it, i shall try the silicone but with the car being up on stands i have no way of getting to my lmf so will look what i have in the shed.
