Sensible Engine Tweaks....

What sort of small sensible engine tweeks would give a small (but noticable) power increase, without affecting any reliabilty, or breaking the bank?
I was thinking a full stainless steel zorst system or phat scorpion backbox (depending on price)
and a K&N induction kit.
Any other small mods?

Just been on the official K&N website and searched for products available for the 406, but it only shows a K&N air filter to replace the OEM one. No air induction kits, however I have sen pics of inductions kits fitted to 406's. Are there universal kits, or different manufacturers available?

There are induction kits for the 406 as I have one fitted on my 406 petrol
They don't give any noticeable power increase just noise in-fact most of the time they just loose power but I think this depends on what engine you've got really

Is it a K&N Induction kit, or another manufacturer?

Sorry Yeh I ment to say it is a K&N induction kit
If you can't find one it wouldn't be that hard to fabricate your own from universal parts just may not be the best power increase

Where did you get your K&N kit from? And will it fit my 2000 2.0l Petrol?

one thing you need to consider with these induction kits, is the fact they will gain you no power, usually you loose power, and your fuel economy becomes a joke, i know, i tried one for a month and my economy went from 26 mpg down to 15 mpg!
i promptley removed it as a result

Induction kits are generally nothing but penis extensions.
