Hi all, longtime no see, been a good winter for me baby,
but last week , shes had problems starting, now shes dead, battery seems fine, when i turn the key i just get a clicking noise coming from the engine, if i turn the key all way round , everything works, so dont think its the battery,
prob is from the key switch to the battery.
now ive meaning to buy the manuel for a long time but the local pugwoit dealer want 45 quid, specail manuel , from france they say.
cheers for any help.
i dont even know where the starter motor is , sorry .

no ,but i can still play the radio, lights and everything seem strong, no dimming, so i think it must be something else as when i tested the bat , it seemed ok.

Get a Haynes manual. Don't think there's anything in the Pug manual that you need to know that isn't covered by the Haynes as well, so it's definitely worth the money.
I'd try sticking a multimeter on the end of the lead(s?) to the starter motor and getting someone else to try turning the key (or using a 'max hold' feature if available). Could just be a dodgy relay...

if you are getting a spark, then obviously the coils are working
as you dont have a keypad then you wont have an immobiliser problem, usually the double relay is at fault and the fuel pump doesnt run, can you hear it running when you turn the ignition on?

the fuel pump seems to be working fine, can you tell me be abit more about the double relay please ,
excuse my ignorance.

the double relay triggers the coils, injectors, ecu and fuel pump, the ecu is working as the coils are working, so you are obviously getting no fuel, lift up the back seat, and get some one to listen to make sure the pump is working whilst trying to start, also listen to the injectors while trying to start and make sure they are ticking loudly, if not they may not be opening which could be caused by the relay
