How do you remove a HDI crankshaft pulley

You may have guessed my question by the topic how do i remove a hdi crankshaft pulley also before all that how do you get the belt off the reason i ask is peugeot want £300 to do it and seems a bit pricey to me

also what parts do i need to replace and what torque does crank bolt need to be tightened to and do i need a new key way

Have you tried an independant garage? I paid just under £140 to have it changed on my 2.2HDi, that was parts and labour.

no not yet think i may have to though as that price is an absoloute joke i would rather take a day of work and do it myself think i will have to make some phone call got a manual coming in a day or two for the 406 how long was your car ticking/rattling for

Mine was ticking for best part of a week, during which time I panicked and got it done quick. I think it was a week between first hearing it and getting it done. I think the part was about £40 for the 2.2HDi
