where would i find the chasis number for my 01 90hp hdi?

Stamped metal plate on the slam panel. Stamped onto a panel at the bottom of the windscreen .Or on the MOT certificate and V5C

When you open bonnet, that's the horizontal panel at the front.
You can the the ally VIN plate riveted to it on the bottom of this gratuitous pic!
