How can i increase the power rating of my xu10j4r engine? I have heard that the xu10j4r engine is easy to tune, but i don't know, there are people in her that know alot more than i do about that, but what is the easiest way to boost the peformance of that engine, and where can i find tuning parts for the 406 1998?

We're not really in to tuning here I'm afraid. You'd be better looking on a 306 forum I think.

A normally aspirated 4-pot petrol are never 'easy' to tune up; you'd need cams, gas flowed heads/manifolds, cam timing gear, a new fuel map and even individual inlets for each cylinder with separate fuel injection etc. all very costly and loads of setting up time.

The 306Gti had a factory tuned version of this engine (XU10J4RS) which was gas-flowed, had high lift cams, new inlet and exhaust manifolds etc.

should imagine it would be the usual things like air filter exhaust bigger injectors forced induction etc lol
