radiator tank condensation - Sensor issue

Hi friends, what's up?

A month ago I purchased a 1999 406 SRDT sample volume 1.9.
This model is considered rare in Israel.

I have a small crack in the tank condensation, and I'm considering to replace it, but before the replacement - I want to understand particular issue:
Condensation container comes without Sensor - shop say it takes to move the old sensor from the tank to the new tank.

How this is done? How to get the sensor out? Is required to also replace gasket at the same time?

Appreciating, Ariel.

I believe you're talking about the Header Tank, yes? The sensor twists by 90 degrees then just lifts out. Save the rubber seal too in case your new tank doesn't come with one.

The windscreen washer filler is in the way to replace the radiator tank - this filler simply unscrews to give more space. It is quite an easy job but a bit difficult to do the hose clips in small space.

I've been off looking at the parts diagrams - they show no seal :frown: So it's either part of the tank of, more likely, part of the sensor. I suppose if there is any problem taking it out you could always cut the tank to get to both sides of the sensor.

I believe it's either way....it's on a sort of keyway.
