Does it misfire if revved from idle? Also is it mapped?

Hi fella, are you petrol or diesel?

I had the same thing on my Hdi90, a real pain to drive and passengers think you are a crap driver.. :roll:

It could be a dirty TPS or maybe worn engine mounts?

My old 2002 110 Rapier did exactly the same and I never did get to the bottom of it,i checked all the engine mounts etc and all was fine so I just learnt to live with it until I sold it on.My 2003 110 Exec has the same engine and doesn't do it at all.The only difference I could see between both engines was that the Rapier had the air doser and the Exec hasn't but whether that has any bearing on anything I don't know.

When I had the bottom engine mount done on my HDi 90 it pulled from 1100 like when I got it. Before it would just judder at anything below 1400. I'd been told about 12 months earlier that the engine mount was fine.

Having just had my lower rear engine mount done (Above the driveshaft), I can say 80-90% of all my judders were down to this. At the same time, got my friendly local garage to change the gearbox oil at the same time, and jeez-oh, what a difference! Bush was £25 quid, 2 litres of 75W90 were £10 - fitting was £63. So about £100 quid all in, and its a completely different car to drive now. Well pleased. On another note, the mechanic said that the old bush was in shreds (what was left of it!).

An easy way I found to check for this problem, was;

-Car in neutral
-Lift the bonnet
-With engine cover off, grab rocker cover
-Shake with a decent bit of force

And if it rattles back and forward, its goosed! I'd say anything more than a couple of centimeters, and you may well have found your culprit!

My car is a 2000, 'X' plate HDi90 Rapier estate FYI

HTH,

Benny
