Simple question really,
Has anyone on here bypassed or removed the Air Doser on a 110 Hdi, if so were there any negative side affects or was it all just positve.
Many thanks in advance DDD. :cheesy:
ps mines leaking oil like a BxxxxxD. :(

I suspect what you'll need to do is remove the offending article any either replace it with the relevant tube off of the engine without it or one of the straight tubes they're using on the 2.2s, then plug the end of the pipe from the electrovalve so it doesn't raise a fault (or you might be able to use PP to tell the ecu it doesn't have one and remove it)

I'm guessing you could maybe open the unit and rip out the butterfly/spindle and seal it all back up again so it's just an empty pipe? The Oil will be present in any case as this gets carried over from the Intercooler, don't know why it leaks from the Doser though.

what i did was cut out the butterfly valve and put a bit of glue in the hole that was left, there's no reason for it to be there other than the egr

My 53 plate 110 doesn't have one as standard, get hold of a pipe from a late 110 if you can.

Looking for vacuum diagrams for Gumby I cam across this. Maybe useful, maybe not...

B1KT03K1 Modification : Discontinuation of the air mixer
DW10ATED TURBO DIESEL SINCE RPO No. 09611
1. Modification
CAUTION : The marking of the solenoid valves remains identical irrespective of the assembly.

(3) Egr Blue White /Blue White Blue
(4) Air mixer (Previous assembly) Black White White Without
3. Interchangeability
The earlier and later parts are not interchangeable.
Parts Division continues to supply both assemblies.

Hmm, it seems to have lost the formatting. Ah well, if it's any use to any one (besides the magic RPO) I'm sure we can do something better with it.

Mine is not leaking so I think I'll leave it alone, but blank off the egr.

Does the air doeser 'copy' the position of the EGR i.e., block air intake when the EGR is open?

Hi DDD, there is currently a 'group buy' on the Coupe forum, for a set of Nico Pipes and some quality blanking plates. It works out around £55 including postage.
Here is the link http://www.406coupeclub.org/PHPBB3/view ... &start=325
Go to the last page and add your name to the list....

If you blank the EGR without disabling the doser then the system should detect that not enough exhaust gas is being recycled and close the doser.
So EGR blanking should be accompanied by doser disabling?
