I have 2 observations....

The aux belt tensioner may be faulty or the belt may be badly tensioned...the belt is vibrating and making a noise (watch the belt flap about).

The orientation of the lower mount appears to be wrong....look at how the centre of the mount moves...the thick rubber inserts should take up the movement front to rear, but the thick rubber sections are fitted up and down.

the crank pulley was replaced 10 months ago. might it be that gone again. the belt looks looks like its about to break soon anyway.
new tensioner is £35 and new crank pully is £50. is it an ok job to remove belt and check trueness of pulleys and bearings and change if need be and put on new belt.
do you need any special skills or tools do you know.
whilst im messing about in there i can always sort out the engine mount

if i need to tension the belt am i right in thinking i hold back the upper tensioner and tension the new belt using the lower tensioner and then release the upper tensioner lastly

When you say that the crank pulley was replaced 10 months ago, I take it that it was a budget one?

The reason I ask, is because I have just this week bought a new one from GSF, and had the choice of a budget one at £57, or a premium one at £82.

Guess which I bought?

Hope it wasn't the budget  , a false economy.

it was replaced by previous owner.
invoice says pulley 90 and labour £140.
how do i test a crank pulley. what am i looking for to find a fault as the pulley seems quiet and on the video links ive seen they have a ticking noise that mine doesnt so hoping its the bottom tensioner that is at fault. i presume i just test for bearing noise and end float on the pulleys and tensioners

You might like to read this....viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17229&p=169666&hili ... lt#p169666

If you type "bottom pulley fault" into the search box at the top right there are lots of threads with reference to it.

just changed the belt and removed and checked the spring tensioner and the bottom tensioner and there is nothing wrong with them, bearings good and running true.
put it all back together and tensioned properly and still vibrating.
Surely it must be the crank pulley nut running true as from above the spring tensioner can be seen running and it vibrates about 10mm trying to tension the belt but when stopped it is tensioned perfectly

it had a new bottom pulley last year but that doesn't mean it wasn't a cheap part and its gone again.

will upload another video in a minute from top view aswell

a video from the top showing how much the spring tensioner is moving to keep tension correct.
http://youtu.be/41JxTuzpaig

bottom view again after the new belt and checked tensioners were running true.
does the crank pulley look like its not running entirely true does anyone think
