Hi does anyone know how to test the hydraulic tappets on a 406 110

There's never been any issues with tappets/lifters on here with this engine, if you've got a ticking noise it is more likely to be the bottom auxiliary belt pulley (especially from cold).

I think I read somewhere that a serious remap can break rocker arms.

it has been known for rocker arms to fail as they have a brake point in the to try and save the valves and cam from damage when the timing belt snaps or a valve jams open but emp can cause the vlaves to float a littel and that would cause valve to piston contact thus braking the arm but that was only on one or two and at 150+bhp
