My only question is what are the advantages of this?
I thought most people do this have 800hp+ with a straight pipe from their exhaust where you would gain advantages of flow.

All done just needs wrapping and a heat shield. It's not even that loud.

So let me get this right :?
You've plumbed your new exhaust under the bonnet right next to your brake fluid res & abs pump oh & your chilled air from your intercooler
+ all that hot exhaust heat under your bonnet
When you've gave it a good raging touch the tip of the exhaust & let me know what happens

Hi Chaps and Chapesses,

I have to admit that I'm confused as to the benefit of this mod.

My natural thought is that it's an attempt to minimise loses through having a long exhaust for the pistons/turbo to push against by having a shorter pipe.
But then - surely one could achieve the same benefit by having a shorter pipe that terminates under the car - so presumably there must be an aero-dynamic advantage by having it exit at the side - perhaps the air rushing past helps create a low pressure area for the exhaust to exit into?

But then - isn't this on a leading edge - therefore - not a low pressure area?

I'm *SO* confused - but intrigued!
Please can anyone explain the madness behind the method?
Now if I can just fit the mods from "Taxi" http://tinyurl.com/3yug4g3

I can provide PP2000/Lexia 3 code reading/clearing in the East Cornwall/West Devon area.

Cold air is the other side of the intercooler.

Sorry mate, as you have plumbed up your own car but that pipe runing up to the intake looks like it comes from the intercooler to me
But then what do I know

That pipe comes from the turbo. The intake is on the front of the engine.
