so my 406 Rapier 2.0HDi 90bhp estate now has smooth steering - Hurrah! Thank you guys, but, now lets chat about the TPS and the accelerator cable. (BOOO!)
I've been taking up slack on the accelerator cable at the TPS end over the years, but now it's a stretch too far.
What are my options?
- Is there any adjustment available at the pedal end?
- could I cut and crimp?
- is the cable so gone at 228,000miles that I just need to get a new one?
Surely - as diesel doesn't have a throttle, it shouldn't be a TPS anyway and should be called either:
- an APS - Accelerator Position Sensor
- GFJS - Go Faster Juice Sensor
- DWS - Driver Wish Sensor (more appropriate to ECU nomenclature I guess)
