Hey guys is the ATF proprietary? Only from Peugeot? Or will standard red ATF dextron 3 work?
I want to change the oil, what else should i consider?
The drain plug is really shallow even a socket will not grab! Was thinking of cutting a socket so it has square corners. What have you guys done?

Not bought an automatic

Not really understanding what this drain plug looks like, is it a square-headed bolt or a square socket?
Service Box just says "oil"

Haynes says Esso LT71141 ATF. Apparently that's the same as Mobil 1 ATF -

I'll tell you what'll happen though, you'll spend ages tracking some down and then find the Pug dealers have it on offer...

As you can see the inner drain plug has no shoulder whatsoever

Oops, that does look a little chewed

Looking at it I remember reading about it in Haynes, the outer is the drain, the inner is the level (so the outer must go up inside the 'box like a tube, with the inner bolt inside it) so you have to remove the outer (i.e. both together) to drain the 'box. I suspect what you need are some decent 6-sided sockets. Not sure if you can file a 12-sided one to fit
