HI All

Today i noticed i had lost a lot of power and when i put my foot doown nothing really happens except the turbo noise is really loud like a airhose type noise.

Is this the turbo gone or a pipe come off? where is the turbo on these things?

Had that happen to me once, going up a large hill on the A30. Only just made it to the top. Turned out the inter cooler pipe had just worked its way off. Have you opened the bonnet :D?

The inter cooler pipes are pretty obvious. Look under the bonnet with it running and rev it to see where the whistle is coming from?

The Turbo is round the back of the engine, the Vac system is mostly mounted to the bulkhead to the right of the engine

Car repaired (I Hope!) but what a pain. Visited 3 yards all of them had the right car but wrong engine or the pipes I needed had gone! So a bit of searching and a lot of bonnet lifting :') we found some candidate parts from a newer car and some driveway manufacturing and we have an 'uprated' part. Feels like I have gained power and MPG!

Yeah a common issue on these. Mine split caning it down a dual carriageway 10 miles away from home. Was still driveable but verrry smoky and very slow.

Puggy had his go on our car meet in hilly Wales!

That would explain all the missing pipes in yards!
