406 TD clutch auto adjuster

Hello guys,
Having trouble with my 406 td clutch cable.
I have fitted the clutch cable properly onto the box but now the clutch is biting very high & slipping. Clutch is only new though. Cable is holding tight on the box.
I am also having problems with a slack clutch cable on a td xantia of my brothers that isnt holding pressure on fitting of a new clutch.
I have read that one can reset the auto adjusters on the clutch cables on these.
Does anybody now how to reset the auto adjusters on these?
