There is a Citroen C5 on eBay, its a 2.2Hdi with a 6 speed box.

Its current price is less than you would pay for a gearbox so I thought I would put it out there..

I can't really afford it at the moment, but maybe someone here will be interested?

Sorry, but older C5s are really not very easy on my eyes! The only one I would consider is the latest (2008+) ones and having been in Discopol's one (what happened to him), it's well lush in its full executive guise.

I was thinking along the lines of - its worth the money just for the 6 speed box and maybe spare sensors etc. Throw the rest away, weigh it in and get half the money back from the scrap man.

Its a cheap way to get a 6 speed box for the 2.2hdi 406....

Are you sure it's a 6-speed? Not all of them were, I've read the listing 3 times and can't find any mention of it.

Other than that, it's got a blocked dpf by the look of things, so shouldn't go much higher, you wouldn't have thought.

I've emailed the seller - its a 6 speed...

Its most probs worth 350 I sh just for part's.
Seats look in good condition too.

Or sell the cat/fap assembly separately - the link someone posted last year showed some (East European)? website offering about £180 for an OE 110 cat and about £220 for a 2.2

At the mo, it's still at £280, for which you get:
Gearbox - say £150
Shell - about the same?
Cat - £150 ?
Seats ?
ecc/bsi/transponder/lockset + keys about £100
and who knows how much else you could flog?

I wonder if the same guy who stole his center caps is the same one who got mine? Or are they fitted without?

I've just emailed the seller and there's a full tank of Diesel and £30.00 cash under the seat, this just GETS BETTER
