Hi,
Have a 110 hdi exec, wont turn over, starter sounds like it is clicking, but won't turn over.
Replaced starter with a known good one from mates car, had started mates car with it just prior to removal. Also new battery fitted.
Any ideas?

Get a jump lead..connect it to negative post on battery..other end connect it to good earthing point
On engine..
This will rule out faulty..earth strap..worth a try.

+1
If that doesn't do it, check the quick realese clamps on both battery posts and trace the big cable from battery +ve to starter, checking for any loose / poor connections.
