Really sorry to hear about your brother lozz...I lost my brother not too long ago.

The thermostat and sensor....there are 2 types...one is £15 and doesn't have the sensor attached...the other is £40 and is a complete housing with sensor and quite a bit bigger.

Depends on reg number.

Thanks all, much apreciated,

ive had a quick look at the stat/housing on the car,
it looks like this  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-207-1 ... 48541bc302

but the housing on mine dont have that clip to remove the sensor it apears to be just pressed in,.
if ibuy that housing in the link..wouid ihave have to buy a stat? or is it built in with it..

went to another parts place today..they tried selling me 3 items.. thermostat/the housing and the sensor,,they wanted 90 odd sov's.. pfft
so iwalked out and slammed the door,

the car isnt overheating or anything..its just going down hill/uphill the temp gauge will drop instantly from 90- 70..so my guess is its that at fault.

Sorted,

i pulled the housing off and had a good look,
everything on it is replace'a'ble. so it looks likes these motor factors are just out to rob people.

sensor just presses out and theres a hidden clip, 8 quid is much better than paying 50 odd quid for a peice of plastic idont need,

whilst pulling it to bits ifound a hidden box..its part of the airflow, (full of leaves.)
Result..it now drives like it shouid, :D

My luck might be in at last with this french heap, :cheesy:
