speedo stops working

speedo stops working
Hi I've got a problem, when I'm driving the speedo stops working and the power drops, it comes back on after a few miles it happens quite regular, anybody any ideas,
If it doesn't fit you need a bigger hammer

That's probably the speedo transducer on the back of the gear box, if you're lucky it could be the connection.
