lest start with the simpel things unplug the ecu and plug it back have a look at the condition of the plug to, then check your relay for the ecu is working corectley(this may be in the engine bay fuse and relay box) also unplug it and plug it back in and inspect condition of conections

I once got a load of shocks off a Polo, then the voltage regulator on the alternator died. I'm not suggesting this is your problem but it seems oddly coincidental you're getting battery problems.

Symptoms: Headlights glowing bright, windscreen wipers going mental, the alternator was chucking something like 18 volts into the battery. I can't imagine a modern lasting long like that...

Got RAC out turns out battery was knackered
Alternator charging at 14.4v so that's ok
He did say he thinks the injectors are faulty because when he started car after putting new battery it was misfiring and chucking plumes of white smoke out the eggsauce
Looks like another trip to garage to get them to sort it out

Not having a lit of luck with car glow plug light constantly flashing and in limp mode
RAC came out and tested car came up with p132a code turbo actuator so I bought one recondition got a Mobil mechanic to fit it turns out the turbo is seized
So what do I do put a recon turbo on @ £390 (plus needing a clutch) or get rid
Car still got 6mths test and 11mths tax

if you are going to get a working one then you may as well blast all the sh*t out of it by taking it down the moterway to sheffield and back as close to the redline as you dare but must be above 3,000rpm, that will see all of the soot and sh*t that builds up burned out.

Been quoted £120 to fit
When its up and running it will be getting redlined a fair bit
At the moment I have cleaned replacement turbo with some turbo cleaner and let it soak them I,m going to wipe of with a cloth
