As far as I know the 8 valve Hdi doesn't have a DPF, at least none of these I have come across have, but the eolys should be fine for your 2.2.

I can't see why you think you've cocked up, it'll be the same stuff but you will need PP to reset the counters.

Around build code 9492-9494 the fluid changed. I can't remember the details offhand but better make triple sure before you fill it with the wrong stuff and cause damage!

8612 would be the build code there, but that's 7th June 2000, and you said yours was a 2002, which seems unlikely to me?

It's taken me a while to find it...
There are two types of additive EOLYS :
EOLYS DPX 42 for vehicles manufactured before 11/2002 (Up to build code 9491); The additive reservoir click-on connectors and the drum caps EOLYS DPX 42 are white
EOLYS 176 for vehicles manufactured from November 2002 build code : (From 9492) ; The additive reservoir click-on connectors and the EOLYS 176 drum caps are green
I learn something new every day. And then forget it, it would appear
Looks like the problem may be if the 406 was built before this date but the C8 was built after. We really need build codes for both (or chassis numbers...)

Ah bollocks, it's after the change

Ah well, at least someone knew what they were talking about, I'd have had you bugger your car up by now...
