Exhaust fell off

Driving to work yesterday and my exhaust falls off well the backbix did, it wasnt on that long i suspect the flange on the centr pipe rotted away (it wasnt great when i put it on) the back box fell to the ground and ripped itself off its hangers.

The flexi joint at the front i think the exhaust is just f*cked and could do with replacing, to date any replacement parts have been from the motorfactors.

I think the last time i checked a stainless steel stystem would cost £350, are they any good, id like to keep the car quiet so dont want any straight through malarky.

A decent make of back box will last year's.
Bossal etc.

from all the stainless systems ive seen, theyre not actualy fully stainless..there just coated.
not sure if there all like that but if so...idont see how theyre worth paying £350 +

Lozz,
Don't know where your getting yours from but all the ones I've had in the past have been stainless steel,
Ferritic yes so they surface rust  ,but stainless all the same.
The one's I make myself are all 304 grade & will last a lifetime 8)

Ps, Stainless can be a little more boomy but not so much that your'll notice if you use the right bore size & amount of silencers, also diesels tend not to be so loud
& with a turbo fitted this also has a silencing affect, I only have two straight through box's in my own & you wouldn't know it's not standard.
