Fuel pump electrics issue?

Hi

Problem with car not starting.

On turning the key without turning over, I hear a sort of whining / wooshing sound that gets to a certain pitch and then goes away. A different sound than normal basically when turning the key without turning over. Starter motor going OK. Battery recently checked and is OK.

Could this be a fuel pump / injector issue?

In tank fuel pump primes the system before starting, does it last for about 10sec then stop?

In tank fuel pump primes the system before starting, does it last for about 10sec then stop?

Roughly about 8 secs. Noise, a sort of buzzing / clicking sound, is coming from engine bay fuse box on passenger side of the car. Fan was also going on and off during that time frame.
