Suzuki Swift 1.5l starting issues

Not a 406 issue, or even a French car issue but no one seems to own any here any more!
My wife's Swift has sometimes some issues starting the car when it's used a lot for short journeys visiting patients. It always starts fine from cold and seems to start ok warm after doing a long trip....
My thinking is that she's simply flooding the engine and it does start after a few tries.
Car is 2009 model and is serviced regularly...did it since she got it 3 years ago. Stealers can't find any issues.
Any ideas?

Try starting the car with the accelerator pedal half way down.

Thanks John - will try. Just for my own benefit, what does that do? I remember doing it on my dad's 405 and that did help it start but I guess the 405 didn't have a fly by wire throttle..

Should open the throttle body to give more air as the engine turns.....with luck.
Worth a try anyway.

Might be the Crank Sensor? (not 'seeing' the engine turning over). What's the Battery like?
I just did a very brief Google and the Suzuki Forum seems to point to an ECU re-flash for a "Hard Start" issue down at the Main Stealership and may be related to temperature.

Battery seems fine.. would the crank sensor issue be evident all the time, rather than just after doing a couple of short runs?

If it's the crank sensor and pouring cold water over it fixes it, then you need a new sensor. Apparently this is a fairly common issue with the later jimny engines but I'm not sure how closely related your swift engine is to these

Ironically, it hasn't done it since I last posted! Any idea where the sensor is on this engine?
