Hello !
i have a peugeot 406 d8 1.8 16v 1996 ... after i burned my engine , i have put another engine from a peugeot 306 1999... they are the same engine LFY 1.8 16v but i want to know if there is any problem because the old engine runs at near 80oC on highway and in the traffic around 99oC and turns 2 fans (i dont know if there was lower or high speed )....this "new" engine runs at near 90oC on highway and in the traffic around 99oC ...i have with LPG the old and new ...this is normal operating temperature or the best thermostat was the old one ?? the fans kicks only when i open the A/C on lower speed or if A/C is switched off they kicks on 99oC (i think with lower speed, the same as i switch on A/C )
normal operating temperature

Re: normal operating temperature
It all depends on the rating on the thermostat, not sure how you check these things tho.
