Hi All,
I had a couple of 406 ST manuals but now I only run a 203 and a 505GTI manual.
My kids have a 206GTI, a 306GTI and a 307 manual 2002 model.
It is the 307 that I need advice about.
When I had my 406's I did a motor swap and changed gearbox and clutch. I had a 1999 and a 1996. They were almost identical.
I'm having to do a clutch on this 307 for my daughter and I'm wanting to know if the job is virtually the same as on the 406?
If anyone has done both could you please tell me if I'm in for any nasty surprises. What concerns me most is any crazy electronic resetting issues that might pop up.
Thanks very much,
Cheers,
Dan

Re: 307 now needs a clutch
Well in answer to my question I have found this tutorial, kindly supplied by a fellow frogger down home in Oz on the Aussiefrogs forum.
There I was thinking of pulling the whole engine and gearbox all together. This is much better, and no computer issues there at all.
Having only done a full transplant I had no idea the mill could be left in place, but it definitely makes sense.
