It's not worth replacing so can I just keep driving it like it is? Still runs ok just has no boost so bit slow. Not going to do any damage driving it?

Your fuel economy might suffer a bit as you'll be on the accelerator more but there should be no problems otherwise. You used to be able to get a service kit for the turbo, the lads over on the 306 forum are more used to this than we are though.

As far as I remember the turbo only had an oil feed, no water cooling, so would form deposits of 'cooked' oil residue restricting the free movement of the impeller shaft/bearings over time.

I changed my oil at the weekend since a year ago and I'd used to much oil, hope this seized turbo isn't drinking my oil too much?

Nah mate if it's seized then it won't be using any oil due to the fact that the seizure will be due to the oil fed/return pipes being blocked up with sludge

But the car had used nearly all the oil in a year, I changed oil last September and last weekend j drained oil out and there wasn't even a litre I'd say, is this normal for a 160k miles Sri?

Oh and I keep getting car stalling when in neutral when coming to a junction etc, cleaned out the idle control valve but it still does it, is there anything I can do or is it down to the turbo and ecu being confused? It did it when the turbo was working but maybe turbo was still a problem then

So let me get this right, you've run your car with less than 1 litre of oil in it & the oil warning light wasn't on
Do you not check your oil level at least once a month using the dip stick, I'm not surprised the turbo has seized.

No, no warning light; it probably wasn't as low as I'm saying, but it was a lot less than used to come out, I just cleaned out my throttle body and the car still has an irrational idle sometimes and cuts out in neutral when coming to junctions etc, what else can it be? My idle control valve and now throttle body have been cleaned
